Requiem in D minor K.626 – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
W. A. Mozart’s ‘Requiem’ is a work steeped in mystery, not only due to the nature of its purpose as a mass for the dead, but also because of the circumstances in which it was conceived. It is now believed to have been commissioned through an intermediary from Count Franz von Walsegg. However, for Mozart, the identity of this client remained shrouded in secrecy, as did the deceased person who would be honored.
This timeless work invites us to a deep reflection on life and death, through the sublime music of W. A. Mozart. She narrates the mystery of the human condition in a journey that transcends earthly limits, seeking connection with the divine.
