Born in Lisbon (2005), Pedro Majewski de Figueiredo began his musical studies at the age of seven at the Nossa Senhora do Cabo Music School with Professor Marilyn Brito, completing the 6th grade in 2017.
In June 2013, he won his first award, achieving 1st Prize at the 14th Cidade do Fundão International Competition.
Since then, he has received numerous prizes in various competitions, including:
1st Prize at the Nossa Senhora do Cabo Strings Competition (2014),
2nd Prize at the IX Paços de Brandão National Competition (2015),
1st Prize at the Cidade do Montijo National Competition (2016),
2nd Prize at the 17th Cidade do Fundão International Competition and 1st Prize again at the Cidade do Montijo National Competition (2017),
1st Prize at the 19th Cidade do Fundão International Competition (2018),
3rd Prize at the 3rd National Interpretation Competition (2018),
3rd Prize at the Capela Competition,
1st Prize at the Cidade do Montijo National Competition (2021),
1st Prize at the Vecchi-Costa Competition (2022),
3rd Prize at the Vasco Barbosa National Strings Competition (2023),
1st Prize at the Cidade do Fundão International Competition (2023), and
3rd Prize at the XVII Paços Premium International Competition.
From an early age, he has had the opportunity to work with renowned violinists such as Roberto Valdés, Pedro Meireles, Aníbal Lima, David Lefèvre, Koh Gabriel Kameda, José Pereira, Diana Tishchenko, Alexandra Tirsu, and Kirill Troussov, among others.
He has been a member of several orchestras, including the Portuguese Youth Orchestra, Portuguese Academic Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Ensemble, and the Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia.
In 2017, he began studying at the Escola Profissional Metropolitana in the violin class of Professor Joana Cipriano, where he completed his secondary education.
Since 2023, he has been studying in Warsaw, Poland, at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, in the violin class of Professor/Soloist Janusz Wawrowski and Professor Agnieszka Marucha.
